Bringing the Baseball Experience Home at Hawaii Baseball Classic

For young athletes in Hawaii, reaching the next level often requires a plane ticket. Historically, the state’s best baseball players have had to travel thousands of miles to the U.S. mainland to compete against national talent and gain visibility.

From July 26–28, 2024, Perfect Game Hawaii set out to change that narrative.

Elite Competition, Right Here at Home

Hosted at the Central Oahu Regional Park, the Hawaii Baseball Classic brought the highest level of youth baseball directly to our islands. The tournament featured 36 teams, with approximately half of the participants traveling from out of state to compete on our home turf.

By hosting this event in Hawaii, we were able to provide several key benefits to our local baseball community:

• Removing Barriers: Local players were able to experience the intensity of national competition without the significant financial burden of mainland travel.

• Greater Inclusivity: Hosting the tournament locally allowed a much broader base of players to participate, ensuring that opportunity was based on talent rather than travel budgets.

• The Gold Standard: As part of the world’s largest platform for competitive youth baseball, we provided our athletes with access to a system that has produced more college and MLB players than any other.

  
  

Our Founding Mission

The heart of Perfect Game Hawaii has always been rooted in a single goal: to support and elevate youth baseball in the islands. We believe that Hawaii produces some of the most dedicated and talented players in the world, and they deserve a stage that reflects that.

Watching 36 teams compete with passion and skill at Central Oahu Regional Park was a testament to the strength of our baseball community. By bringing mainland competition to Hawaii, we aren't just playing a game—we are opening doors for the next generation of local stars to be seen and scouted right here at home.
