Malama Pacific Foundation (formerly Perfect Game Hawaii) supported Perfect Game's Hawaii Baseball Classic from July 26 - 28. The tournament was held at the Central Oahu Regional Park and included 36 teams with about half from out of state.
Hawaii's best baseball players typically have to travel to the US Mainland to compete against non-Hawaii teams. By hosting this tournament and bringing those teams to Hawaii, local players are able to have the same experience without the cost of travel. This also enables a broader base of players to participate.
Perfect Game is the world's largest platform for competitive youth baseball. More college and MLB players have come through the Perfect Game system than any other.
Malama Pacific Foundation's founding mission was to support youth baseball.
